Tonya Stewart, ARNP joined The Iowa Clinic Urgent Care department because of the exceptionally high standards of care, for both patients and employees. After spending over 17 years in the Emergency department, she felt that Urgent Care would allow her to care for acute illnesses without the often-chaotic hospital environment. For Tonya, the most rewarding part of her job is recognizing the opportunity to improve her patients’ health and wellbeing and seeing them leave the clinic feeling better than when they first arrived. Outside of work, Tonya enjoys watching medical drama shows, reading mystery books, spending time with her husband and five boys, watching them play sports and staying active outside.
